- Sponsor. This promotion ("Program") is sponsored by Chaillan Publications, LLC, a Florida limited liability company, d/b/a Unbiased Headlines ("Sponsor," "we," "us"), operator of the UBH World virtual environment ("UBH World"). Contact: hello@unbiasedheadlines.com.
- Eligibility. The Program is open to registered, logged-in users of UBH World who are at least 13 years old. Users under 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to participate and to receive any physical prize. Sponsor's employees and their immediate family members are eligible unless otherwise stated. Void where prohibited by law. Sponsor may restrict eligibility by region if required for legal compliance. Physical prizes are available only to winners with a valid United States shipping address; see Section 5.
- How to Participate. Registered users may explore UBH World and locate hidden virtual collectible items placed at various in-world locations. No purchase, payment, or fee of any kind is required to participate or to claim a prize. Locating and collecting an item in UBH World ("Find") is the sole method of entry; no alternate method of entry is offered or required, as none is needed.
- Prizes. Each collectible item is associated with a specific reward described at the time of discovery, which may be: (a) virtual-only rewards (e.g., badges, in-game cosmetic items, or recognition) with no cash or physical value; or (b) low-value physical prizes (e.g., a paperback or hardcover book, sticker, or similar item having an approximate retail value of less than $50). Prize descriptions, quantities, and approximate retail value are set by Sponsor in its sole discretion and are subject to change or discontinuation at any time without notice. Limit one physical prize per person per unique item/location, or as otherwise specified for that item. Prizes are not transferable, redeemable for cash, or exchangeable for a different prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a listed prize becomes unavailable.
- Winner Determination and Fulfillment. A user "wins" a physical prize at the moment they successfully collect a qualifying item in UBH World while logged in. Sponsor will identify winners from its internal UBH World records. To receive a physical prize, the winner must contact Sponsor at hello@unbiasedheadlines.com within thirty (30) days of the Find and provide a valid shipping address and any other information reasonably requested by Sponsor to fulfill the prize. Sponsor is not responsible for prizes that cannot be delivered due to an incomplete, inaccurate, or unclaimed address, or for lost, delayed, or misdirected mail. Allow up to 8 weeks for delivery.
US-ONLY PHYSICAL PRIZES: Physical prizes are valid only within the United States and are not valid or redeemable outside the United States. A winner must have a valid United States shipping address to receive a physical prize. If a winner cannot provide a valid United States shipping address, the physical prize cannot be fulfilled, and Sponsor has no obligation to substitute another prize, ship internationally, or provide a cash equivalent. This restriction applies only to physical prizes; virtual-only rewards (e.g., badges and in-game cosmetic items) remain available regardless of location. - Acceptance of Terms. By collecting a physical-prize item for the first time, the user is shown these Terms and must affirmatively accept them before the prize is credited to their account. Continued participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of these Terms in their entirety.
- Limited Quantities. Each item location has a fixed quantity set by Sponsor. Once the available quantity at a location has been fully claimed, that item will no longer be available at that location. A user who has already claimed a given item at a given location may not claim the same item at the same location again.
- No Warranty. All prizes are provided "AS IS" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. Sponsor makes no representation or warranty regarding the quality, safety, or fitness of any physical prize. Sponsor's total liability arising out of or related to the Program and any prize will not exceed the actual retail value of the prize at issue.
- Release and Limitation of Liability. By participating, users release and hold harmless Sponsor, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind for injury, damages, or losses to persons or property, of any nature whatsoever, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Program, acceptance, receipt, use, or misuse of any prize, or participation in any Program-related activity. Sponsor is not responsible for technical errors, interruptions, or malfunctions of UBH World that affect a user's ability to locate, collect, or claim a prize.
- Publicity. Except where prohibited, participation constitutes the winner's consent to Sponsor's use of the winner's first name, general location (e.g., city/state), and statements about the Program for promotional purposes, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
- General Conditions. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program, or any portion of it, at any time and for any reason, including if the Program cannot be conducted as planned. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any user it believes, in its sole discretion, has tampered with the Program, used automated means (e.g., bots or scripts) to locate or collect items, or otherwise acted in a manner inconsistent with these Terms or in bad faith.
- Tax. Prizes with an aggregate value to a single recipient of less than $600 in a calendar year are not expected to require IRS Form 1099 reporting by Sponsor; recipients are solely responsible for any tax liability, if any, arising from receipt of a prize.
- Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Program shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and users consent to personal jurisdiction there.
- Data Use. Information collected to fulfill a physical prize (e.g., shipping address, collected outside of UBH World via email) will be used solely for prize fulfillment and will not be sold to third parties.
